Welcome to Minerva DeLand School. We know you will enjoy English 9 and Public Speaking. We look forward to a tremendous year!
I hope your vacation was delightful. You're going to have an exciting year.
To be successful you will need to keep your three-ring notebook organized. The only other supplies you will need are paper, pen and pencil. A highlighter can be a helpful tool when studying for a quiz. The Public Speaking classes need a VHS/VCR tape which will be returned at the end of the semester.
The first week of school we will complete Spelling Unit 1 with a quiz on Friday. Check School Notes.com for a weekly update. Below you will find links that will be helpful for Vocabulary and Spelling quiz preparation.
COLD SASSY TREE will be dicussed the first two weeks of school. I'm looking forward to seeing your projects and hearing your ideas. "Boy Howdy!!" what a book.
