Registration for CASIE Basic On-Line Training begins here, Tuesday, May 8th.
Lesson1-CASIE Overview, SAR Terminology and Theory
Lesson2-CASIE File Management and Operation
Lesson3-CASIE Search Management Problem #1
Lesson4-CASIE Search Management Problem #2
Lesson5-CASIE Final Search Management Problem & Test
Each Lesson will have a Practice Test that can be repeated as often as you like, and a Challenge Test where your grade is recorded for instructor evaluation.
Prior to each Challenge Test, one or both instructors will be available for two hours on a weekday evening for live interaction using AOL Instant Messenger. Note that you do not need to have an AOL account to download and utilize this free chat application.
Questions to some CASIE Search Management Problems will need to be forwarded to you from us via email. This will allow you to run CASIE off-line and prepare your answers before taking the Practice or Challenge Test for the particular Lesson.
To get the most out of this training, we highly recommend that the course be completed in the following sequence:
1. Read the Study Material for the particular Lesson.
2. Take the Practice Test to reinforce the Study Material.
3. Join the Instructors weekly for live interactive chat.
4. Take the Challenge Test to receive a grade for the individual Lesson.

The weighted total of your weekly scores and the Final Test in the last week will determine your grade. Those who successfully complete the course with a passing grade will receive Certificates Of Completion from the Massachusetts State Police and Northeast Wilderness Search And Rescue.
Please feel free to take the two Sample Tests and play the SAR Terminology Matching Game shown at the activities links below. This will give you an idea of the course content and testing methodology. Note that no grades are recorded for these Samples, nor for any practice test. Feel free to take them as many times as you like!
