Collect 5 current event articles relating to Forensic Science. Summarize each article thoroughly using 100-150 words. Summaries should be typed and follow format described. Articles should be neatly cutout and taped/glued/ displayed in a folder or binder with the summary facing its article. Articles may be taken from a variety of newspapers, magazines, or reputable websites (be sure to record exact web address). Be sure to include the title, source, and publication date of each article.
Points will be deducted for lateness (5 points each day late until Friday, 11/2, then no credit).

Notorious Crime/Forensic Topic/ Expert Witness Research Power Point
You will become “an expert witness” for a notable case in which forensic science played a major role in the investigation/outcome/jury decision. The power point slide show should include a thorough presentation of the case history of a notorious crime of the 20th/21st Centuries including all pertinent information about victims, suspects, witnesses, investigators, evidence, and outcome. The presentation should also include detailed information about the forensic technique(s) used to investigate and solve (if solved) the crime. Your presentation should be accompanied by appropriate graphics, illustrations, and/or photographs. You may work alone or with a partner. Your research and knowledge of the crime should be extensive so that you could “testify” as an “expert witness” at the trial for your chosen case.

Description of the Innocence Project including objective, criteria, personnel and its history (established, # cases, founders) and related organizations.

You will be completing a comparison chart of the different cases (attached). Cases and outcomes will be discussed, compared and contrasted in a group discussion.  All students are expected to participate.
You may work alone or with a partner (both partners receive the same grade) and poster is due regardless of absence.
All projects must be on a different individual.
Project will be graded out of 50 points
