Third graders are currently studying the food unit. We have discussed likes and dislikes and learned a song, “jugo de naranja” that reinforces the verb, to like, gustar. Culturally, we have talked about different foods from Spanish speaking countries. Students know that a tortilla in Spain is not the same as a tortilla in Mexico. Students have created their own restaurant logo and are working on menus. They will also be preparing dialogues to take place in their restaurants with their classmates.
