Welcome to our class on the internet
Focus: Listening, speaking, reading and writing Spanish. Cultural topics will include geography, history, holidays, literature and current events. Technology will be used to reinforce vocabulary as well as aural and oral skills (listening and speaking skills via Quizlet.com).
Student will be able to (SWBAT):
1. Say greetings and farewells
2. State his/her name and the names of others - family members; teachers, etc.
3. Use numbers in everyday context - age, date, time, temperature, schedules, phone number, etc.
4. Describe his/her schedule
5. Express likes, dislikes and personal preferences - food, sports, leisure time activities, etc.
6. Describe his/her family
7. Use colors to describe clothing, foods, etc
8. Talk about the countries in the Spanish speaking world - Spain and most of the countries in Latin America
9. Use technology to enhance language learning -Google, YouTube, Quia.com, Quizlet.com, memrise.com; DVOR (digital voice recorder), socrative.com, etc.
10. Ask and answer questions in Spanish
11. Compare and contrast the celebration of some Spanish holidays with our celebrations. - Día de Los Muertos, Valentine's Day
12. Use the verb "to be" correctly
13. Talk about how he/she feels.
14. Describe him/her self.
15. Describe the weather.
16. Express him/herself about various literacy topics
17. Talk about where he/she is going; what he/she is going to do, to eat, going to wear, etc..
18. Use vocabulary: verbs of action, foods, clothing, fruits and vegetables
19. Ask and answer questions about the big ideas - final exam prep
