Welcome to WORLD HISTORY with Mr.
Sanders. This is a schedule of events for the following week. In the
upcoming weeks, we will be discussing, and learning about Japan. We
will be looking at:
- culture: what Japanese do differently/the same as the U.S.
- origin: where the first Japanese people migrated from
- geography: where it is located in the world, AND the shape of
Japan’s land
- customs: what are some of the practices that Japanese people do
- religion: the main two that are practiced in Japan
- Japan’s history from 500 to 1600AD

TUESDAY: Feudal Japan. Where is Japan located, and what are the
main natural resources and discussions about Japanese culture.
HOMEWORK: Answer the questions on page 230 #1-5 DUE WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY.
WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY: (block day). Discussion of Japan's climate,
population. Begin the movie Shogun. Begin to take notes on
similarities and differences between early Japanese culture and the
early culture of the U.S.
FRIDAY: Finish watching Shogun. Start the discussion on
similarities and differences between the two early cultures (Japan
and US.). Written discussion DUE
