Dear Parents and Students,
At Camplearnalot this month, we will be celebrating our community helpers with the jobs of each in the neighborhood. Our thematic centers will enhance our learning as we do several activities related to science, social studies, reading, language arts and math.
Our math goals will continue to include counting, writing numbers, number sequence and adding with manipulatives using our symbols in our additon probems.
In language arts and reading, our goals will continue to read star words, enjoy literature and continue our literacy centers to emphasize letters/spelling words and enjoying books plus rhyming families in words. We will continue to be writers in Writer's Workshop with labeling pictures and starting to write our thoughts using periods and question marks. We have completed our study of writing about ourselves using descriptive words about our interest. What a display of "Who's Who" in my classroom!!
We also will be continue our Camper of the Week this month with each week being a special week for one student so we can learn more about our friends in our Camp.
Computer skills will be emphasizing counting, word identification, rhyming and working with friends to learn about math, science topics and language arts skills.
