Dear students,
     I know you are tired of the classroom day in and day out, so I've arranged for you all to go on a Scavenger Hunt!
First you will need to find the map in the classroom that has your name on it. Next go to the computer lab and take the quiz on the following web address: http://www.quia.com/

     You will learning the following PASS Objectives and having fun as you do it.10th grade Social Studies.
I. Use and locate, and create maps of locales, regions, and the world from a spatial perspective.
A. Locate, gather and analyze information from primary and secondary sources. (websites)
B. Evaluate information, make inferences, and draw conclusions from maps, graphs, charts.
II. Analyze the physical and human landscapes of the world using various geographic representations, including maps, globes, photographs, and pictures.
B. Demonstrate how maps reflect particular historical and political perspectives.
V. Observe and predict the possible economic effects and environmental changes resulting from natural phenomena (hurricanes, droughts, insect infestations, earthquakes, El Nin~o and volcanoes).
VII. Examine the historic ability and predict the future ability of various nations to survive and prosper and evaluate the role of multinational and nongovernmental organizations.
A. Identify examples of past and present, of conflict, cooperation, and interdependence among groups, societies, and nations, including the impact of ethnic diversity on heterogeneous societies.
C. Describe the relationships and tension between national sovereignty and international interests (territory, natural resources, end of colonialism, welfare of people, technology and trade).
Each time you answer a question correctly you can move 1/4 of an inch on the Chisholm Trail. The first on to Abilene wins the game. Write a half page summary of the information you have learned.
