I have worked in a previous life as a Sign Language Interpreter for 20 years, but I decided
to get my M.Ed. in Special Education when my son was diagnosed with High Functioning
Autism IN 2002. While a Sign Language Interpreter, I homeschooled a Deaf student with
Learning Disabilities as well as tutored Deaf students in their subjects.
I have been teaching at Athens since Spring 2005. I have taught Resource English I,
Curriculum Assistance, Literacy (Reading and Writing), and English I with Integrated Reading.
My favorite subject to teach is Reading.
