This week in 8th grade:
You have been hired by an image consultant to change and update Santa's image. He still needs to appeal to children and should not be violent. First, draw a picture that details the changes. Second, correctly write a friendly letter to Santa Claus in which you attempt to persuade him to change his image to the one you have detailed. Your letter should have a clear beginning, middle, and end.
7th graders---finishing The Outsiders and then watching the movie.

Next semester, 8th graders will be reading The Giver by Lois Lowry and To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. 7th graders will be focusing on writing and preparing for the MAP tests in the spring.
