10 WEEK CIRCUIT TRAINING PROGRAM
Task
To introduce the 6th-8th Graders to Circuit Training as a method of improving overall muscular strength, flexibility and cardiovascular ability.  Pupils will also know what specific exercises targets what specific area.  Students will be required to record their pretest and post test results along with their three weekly sessions workouts.
Activity Questions
The pupils will be able to address the following questions:
-What is circuit training?
-What is aerobic/cardiovascular conditioning
-What is a target heart rate and how is it taken?
-What is flexibility?
-What are the definitions of work load and dosage in physiology?
-Can you design an Exercise Circuit emphasizing specific muscle groups?
-What is your pretest  and posttest weight?
-Can use use Body fat Calipers to measure your bodyfat prior to beginning your workout period?

Culminating Question
After the ten week sessions, do you consider Circuit Training as a viable method of increasing  an individual’s level of fitness?
Project
Students will prepare a notebook tracking their journey during the 10 week period.  They are encouraged to use photographs, graphs,  charts, etc. After completing the program, each student must design an exercise circuit for two family members utilizing various  equipment . 

Assessment
Students will be required to actively complete the exercise program,  keep accurate records, show progression, complete special notebook and special written assignment. A written multiple choice test on the lesson will be presented.
