Design and Layout
In this chapter, you will learn what makes the World Wide Web so different from other media and how you can maximize its strengths while minimizing its weaknesses.
Next, you will learn how to approach design. There are basic design principles that you should apply to each design. You will also learn about other issues that web designers face. You should take all of these into consideration.
A web page is not simply a few images combined with text that is quickly put together. Each page and the website as a whole needs to be carefully designed. A design that is developed without much thought is inherently a failure. This chapter will give you the skills to develop a well-designed website.
* Read and take notes on Chapter 5 Design and Layout.

* Read pages 278 - 315 GoLive Basics in Adobe 6.0 WEB DESIGN text.
** Create a PowerPoint presentation on Chapter 5 concepts. Your presentation should be at least five pages long. Add the presentation to your web page.
