Classes
The Sonday Reading System is used primarily for students who need small group help on their
reading. Pull out sessions occur all through the day.
English I with Integrated Reading
Students are now working on mastering Compound Sentences and Inference. Students are also making progress on Academy of Reading, the online computer reading program. Students have a notebook check or a notebook quiz every two weeks (Thursday and/or Friday). My blackboard page is still down - I apologize for the inconvenience.

Bachelor of Arts in English, with a concentration in Writing, and Philosophy
East Carolina University (1985-1991)
Master in Education, with a concentration in Special Education, Learning Disabilities
North Carolina State University (2004-2006)
I'm certified as a Special Education Teacher, Learning Disabilities, K-12 as well as certified as a Reading Specialist, Regular Education K-12

Married (Husband is Christopher) and 2 kids (Zachary and Katie)
Hobbies: Reading, quilting, and taekwondo.
