Welcome BACK to Cosmetology,
We are off to a new year and a a great start!
Weekly Assignment's Due on Feb 4 are-
Study Guides and Rubrics in Chapter 12.
State Board Review, Contests and Class objectives are of utter importance. Be sure to hand in all Work on time.
The Cosmetology Program emphasizes instruction in technical and related subjects that prepare students for taking the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam.
The state board exam consists of scoring 75% on the practical performances and 75%on the written (110)questions.
Student's will be tested by performing the following services in front of the State Board examiner.
Each student is required to take the written and practical exam when they have completed the hours required since this is their program competency exam for the State Department of Vocational Education requirement.
Each student is required to practice these components in to successfully demonstrate the knowledge, understanding, and skill to pass their state board exam, and become a licensed Oklahoma Cosmetologist. Students should be able work in any licensed salon in Oklahoma, and any salon on a military base in or out of the United States.
Basic Cosmetology
1000 Hours for High School Students
1500 Hours for Adults out of H.S for more than 3 years
