Here are some common expressions you may hear Monsieur use.
Golden Rules are found at the end.
Note the frequent use of "on" when addressing the class. and the addition of
"et" sometimes possible before an order starting with "on" : Et on se lève,
et on ne bouge pas, et on se tait etc...
Clear your desks. Put your things away. (Rangez vos affaires?)
Don't move! (when the bell rings)
"Ne bougez pas. On ne bouge pas!"
Listen "On écoute" or "Et on écoute"
"Ecoutez bien"
Silence! (Silence! Ne parlez pas!)
"Taisez-vous!" "Tais-toi!"
"Ne parlez pas si fort, s'il vous plait"
"On se tait" "Du calme" "On se calme"
"qu'est-ce que c'est que ce bruit? "+ clap hands. "Qui parle encore?"
"Non mais, vous vous croyez où?"
Stand (Au debout)
"Levez-vous"
"Debout"
"On se lève" "Mettez-vous debout."
Take out some paper (Sortez du papier!)
"Prenez une feuille" (de papier)
Take out your book (Prenez vos livres!)
Wait quietly "Attendez tranquillement"
"On attend tranquillement"
Interesting note from Bob Ponterio:
Basic classroom commands are a great way to reinforce the language through
real use. Getting expressions used by natives is the best way to avoid
reinforcing an incorrect form. I have heard someone say that the only
thing he remembered from HS was "Fermez la bouche." which of course, no one
says in French.

Here are "The Golden Rules for Living", by Miriam Hamilton Keare, clipped
from a Dear Abby/Dear Ann Landers column years ago...
1. If you open it, close it.
Si tu l’ouvres, ferme-le
2. If you turn it on, turn it off.
Si tu l’allumes, éteins-le
3. If you unlock it, lock it up.
Si tu l’ouvres à clé, referme-le à clé
Si tu le débarres, rebarre-le (au Québec/Canada)
Si tu le deverouille, referme-le a cle.
4. If you break it, admit it.
Si tu le casses, admets-le
5. If you can’t fix it, call in someone who can.
Si tu ne peux pas le réparer, fais venir quelqu’un qui sait le faire.
6. If you borrow it, return it.
Si tu l’empruntes, rends-le
7. If you value it, take care of it.
Si tu l’aimes, fais attention avec
fais-lui attention.
fais-y attention (au Québec)
Si lu l'apprecies, prends-en soin
8. If you move it, put it back.
Si tu le bouges, remets-le.
Si tu le déplaces, remets-le à sa place
9. If you make a mess, clean it up.
Si tu fais des gâchis, nettoie-les
Si tu fais un dégât, nettoie-le.
Si tu salis, nettoie.
10. If it belongs to someone else, get permission to use it.
Si ça appartient à un autre, demande la permission avant de t’en servir
11. If you don’t know how to operate it, leave it alone.
Si tu ne sais pas t’en servir, laisse-le tranquille. (évite d'y toucher.)
12. If it’s none of your business, don’t ask questions.
Si ça ne te concerne pas, ne pose pas de questions
