HOMEWORK OVERVIEW

Spelling:
Each week a list of 17 words will be sent home. The first 13 will follow a rule we are learning or reinforcing. The final four words will be ones that focus on other curriculum areas. These final four will be considered challenge words.
After the first week, students will receive dictation sentences that utilizes the previous weeks spelling words.
Every Friday students will have two tests. The first will test that weeks spelling list and the second will be sentence dictation.

Reading:
Reading at least 15 minutes daily is expected.
Book Reports - Book reports will begin in September. Approximately one every week is expected. More information will be provided over the next few weeks.

Math:
There will be math homework once to twice a week. It will usually be a review of what is covered in school or an activity which reinforces our work.
|
Social Studies and Science:
Homework, projects, and activities will be given in these subjects according to what is being learned in class and for any upcoming events.
