Welcome to the Drama web page!

We are working on our Drama Unit, which is a sub-genre of fiction so you will need to refresh your understanding of fiction and use any and all information from that unit as well. --Remember, Drama is meant to spoken and acted out. Dialogue between characters is the basis of information and moves the story from event to event in the plot. Drama does not have the narrator/author to fill us in on what the characters are thinking or feeling (point of view; first or third). We, the reader, must pay careful attention to what, and how, the actors are saying their words. The stage directions will help to create the mood, which in turn will hint at what the characters are thinking and feeling. Be sure to identify the key plot events and to also be able to recognize the conflict (internal or external). At the moment of the climax, you should be able to define the theme. You must interact with the play and be involved to help understand the story.
