!BIENVENIDOS ESTUDIANTES! WELCOME STUDENTS!
You will need the following supplies for Spanish class this year:
Spanish/English dictionary
1-2 hi-liters
index cards
3 ring binder with folders (ex. trapper keeper etc)
loose leaf paper
pens
PLEASE KEEP A SEPARATE NOTEBOOK FOR SPANISH!
Your marking period grade will be based on:
50% PARTICIPATION*
50% Notebook, Quizzes, Homework, projects, compositions etc.
*Participation- You will earn a participation grade DAILY from 0-4.
4=A, 3=B 2=C 1=D 0=F If you are on task, doing what you are supposed to do and PREPARED for class, you will earn a 4. If you are late to class you lose a point. If you are talking when you are not supposed to etc. you lose a point. If you are absent, you get a 0. If you are not in class, you can't participate. This makes up 40% of your participation grade.
The other 10% consists of 10 speaking topics for each marking period. You will have the opportunity to speak about one of the topics in Spanish EVERY CLASS. You earn a point for each of the 10 topics you speak to me IN SPANISH about. You just need to say 1-3 sentences about the topic.
** EXTRA HELP IS AVAILABLE ON WEDNESDAYS & THURSDAYS, FROM 2-3 in room 41. (THis is a change from the class rule sheet. We have meetings on Tuesdays, so it will be on Wednesdays & Thursdays).
SEPTIEMBRE: Vamos a repasar Español 1 y 2. Grammar & Vocabulary.
Remember, if you bring in a box of tissues, You'll receive 15 pesos.
*If you earn 100 pesos in a marking period, you'll be exempt from the marking period project.
WEEK OF SEPTEMPBER 10th - HW Have your notebook divided into 5 sections: La gramática, Los tiempos, La cultura, Los verbos, El vocabulario. ALSO HAVE your SPANISH/ENGLISH DICTIONARY AND HI-LITERS. YOu will get a notebook grade for EACH MARKING PERIOD.
STUDY EL ALFABETO!
OCTOBER - We will begin working on VERBS & Definitions AND the different tenses.
