University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana Night September 2 at 7pm at the Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights.

Illinois District and All-State Chorus Audition Clinic at Harper College on Sunday, September 20. Walk-up registration begins at 1p.m. and the clinic sessions begin at 1:30pm. Students should bring their copy of the required music, the Tonal Skills Study Guide (scale sheet), and a pencil. For more information, contact Karen Stoessel at 847-925-6568.
Choices: Special Needs College Fair is planned by Districts 214, 211 and 220. This Fair will be held at the Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights on Sunday, September 20th.
Chicago Executive Airport (PWK) in Wheeling, IL announces their 2nd annual Aviation Career Expo, which is coordinated by their community education group, on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 10am until 3pm. Attendance is FREE. They will have guest speakers, a question and answer panel, static aircraft display and many other exciting events showcasing everything aviation has to offer. The major focus of the event will be to inform prospective students about the degrees required for a career in aviation. Representatives from the military, as well as other careers that do not require a college degree will be represented. Illinois District and All-State Band Audition Clinic at Harper College on Sunday, September 27. Walk-up registration begins at 1p.m. and the clinic sessions begin at 1:30pm. Students should bring their instruments, audition music, IMEA scale sheet, and a pencil. Harper College Department of Music will provide professional model percussion instruments for use at the clinic. National College Fair at Navy Pier in Chicago will be held October 3, 2009 from 11am until 3pm. Juniors and sophomores are encouraged to preregister for the fair by visiting the website at www.gotomyncf.com. It is the committee's goal to have hundreds of students registered before school is out in the spring.

High School District 211 College Night will be held on Thursday, October 16 at Schaumburg High School, 1100 West Schaumburg Road. Doors open at 7pm. Representatives from hundreds of colleges will be present.
Performing & Visual Arts College Fair will be held at Roosevelt University, Schaumburg, on Saturday, October 10 from 1 - 3p.m. At this Fair, will be featured schools specializing in dance, graphic design, music, liberal arts, photography, theater and more.
Career Night: Arts & Commuications will be held at Rolling Meadows High School from 6:30 until 9pm on October 14. This event is open to the public.
Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, FL Open Houses will be held October 15 & 16, November 10 & 11, February 14 & 15 and March 25 & 26. See the poster in the Counseling Office for a list of Academic Major Specialty Days, ROTC Day and Honors Day. Their School of Music and Fine Arts will hold audition dates on November 7, January 23, February 13 and March 20.
Cornell University College of Engineering's Fall Diversity Hosting Weekend will be held October 16-18 on their campus in Ithaca, NY for students of color. This weekend is specifically for high school seniors who enjoy using math and science as tools to creatively tackle hands-on problems. Current Cornell engineering students host visiting students during their stay and Cornell covers travel and meal expenses. A registration form is available in the Counseling Office or online applications can be found at http://www.engineering.cornell.edu/fallhosting.
ICE Fall College Fair will take place at College of Lake County on October 23 from 6-8p.m. Many universities and colleges will be represented.

DeVry University, Addison, IL will host a HerWorld event on November 13 from 8:30am - 12pm. The event will be held at the Westin Chicago Northwest, 400 Park Boulevard, Itasca, IL 60143. Young women will engage in group activities and hear from women leaders in the community. They will learn about exciting career opportunities. HerWorld is completely complimentary. FAFSA Completion Night will be offered for parents of seniors on February 11 at Forest View Educational Center at 7pm. This event is open to the public but is specifically for parents of seniors.
Selective School Night will be held on March 10 at 7pm at Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights. This will feature universities that recruit high-achieving academic students. Please call District 214 for further information.
ICE Spring College Fair will be held at College of Lake County on March 17 from 6-8p.m. Many universities and colleges will be represented.
A College Fair will be held at Harper College on April 6 from 6 - 8:30p.m. Representatives from several hundred colleges will be present. This Fair is organized by District 214 and Saint Viator High School.
