Choices: Special Needs College Fair is planned by Districts 214, 211 and 220. This Fair will be held at the Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights on Sunday, September 20th. Chicago Executive Airport (PWK) in Wheeling, IL announces their 2nd annual Aviation Career Expo, which is coordinated by their community education group, on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 10am until 3pm. Attendance is FREE. They will have guest speakers, a question and answer panel, static aircraft display and many other exciting events showcasing everything aviation has to offer. The major focus of the event will be to inform prospective students about the degrees required for a career in aviation. Representatives from the military, as well as other careers that do not require a college degree will be represented. National College Fair at Navy Pier in Chicago will be held October 3, 2009 from 11am until 3pm. Cornell University College of Engineering's Fall Diversity Hosting Weekend will be held October 16-18 on their campus in Ithaca, NY for students of color. This weekend is specifically for high school seniors who enjoy using math and science as tools to creatively tackle hands-on problems. Current Cornell engineering students host visiting students during their stay and Cornell covers travel and meal expenses.
