Welcome to Drama!
This will be a year of special challenges as our class continues to perform for elementary schools in our system while the auditorium and stage areas are used for other classes. With the construction that is being done to enlarge and improve the chorus, band, and art facilities, those classes will be displaced into other class space. Therefore, we will be unable to use the stage areas for our classes. To remedy this situation, Mr. Thacker and I have planned together to create a link between his broadcast class and my children's theatre classes so that his class will videotape our productions, and we will send the first two or three productions to the schools for them to view on television. We will still "go on the road" with at least two productions to several schools, but this will neccessitate much cooperation on the part of all students.
I am looking forward to this new school year and to getting to know all of you better. Come prepared, come with a good attitude, come with high energy, and COME!
