CPSE LEGAL/ETHICAL TEST

General Information: The CPSE Legal/Ethical Test consists of 100 items covering the CPSE domain of Legal and Ethical Standards only. Ideally, the CPSE Legal/Ethical Test should be taken for the first time after completing the CPSE Pretest, Practice Test A, and after thoroughly reading the CPSE Study Volume at least once, or even twice. This test is specifically designed to give CPSE candidates additional practice with the challenging and detailed CPSE domain of Legal and Ethical Standards. A score of 75 - 80+ out of 100 is a strong starting score.
You will be able to take the CPSE Legal/Ethical Test three times: Study Mode, Retake Mode, and Test Mode. You will be able to review your results as often as you like. To take the test over multiple sittings, click ‘end quiz’ and then the ‘Save for Later’ button.
STUDY MODE: It is strongly recommended the first time you take the CPSE Legal/Ethical Test, you complete the test in Study Mode. The test software will prompt you to review the rationale for each question immediately after completing the question; you should take the time to thoroughly review and study the rationale. On average it should take about 4 hours to complete and study questions in Study Mode. Students who rush to complete the test are at a tremendous disadvantage in terms of both learning the content and developing test-taking skills.
RETAKE MODE: We recommend you wait to take the CPSE Legal/Ethical Test in Retake Mode for about 1 - 2 weeks after completing the CPSE Legal/Ethical Test in Study Mode. In Retake Mode, all 100 items are presented. The test software will again prompt you to review the rationale for each question immediately after completing the question. A question missed in Retake Mode represents a personal red flag, a question you may miss on the actual exam unless you take some action! Allow 3 hours to complete the CPSE Legal/Ethical Test in Retake Mode. It is expected that you will miss fewer than half as many items in Retake Mode as you missed in Study Mode.
TEST MODE: You should complete the test in Test Mode about 1 - 2 weeks after Retake Mode. In Test Mode, all 100 test items are presented, and you must complete all items before you will have the opportunity to review the rationales. Allow 2 hours to complete the items in Test Mode. In is expected that you should score at least 95/100 in Test Mode.
All of your test results (test scores as well as test items, answers you selected, correct answers, detailed rationales) are stored and can be reviewed by either entering www.quia.com/web into your Internet browser, or by clicking the Useful link below: 'Review Tests.' Then click 'Student Zone,' enter your Username and Password. Click 'View' to review results.
