Posted 10/27/2009 Kendrick High School Graphic Output Processes Advanced Graphic Communications Individual Projects Second Nine Weeks-FALL Semester GPS Standards: ACCT-GOP-4. Students will accurately read and interpret job specifications. ACCT-GOP-5. Students will plan and prepare projects for output. ACCT-GOP-7. Students will practice customer service skills. ACCT-GOP-8. Students will prepare files for production. ACCT-GOP-9. Students will demonstrate the ability to use an output process to create a quality product. ACCT-GOP-10. Students will demonstrate the ability to finish the project to create a quality product. ACCT-GOP-11. Students will effectively manage the digital assets related to image development. ACCT-GOP-12. Students will effectively prepare digital files. DO NOW: Vocabulary Word each day. Comprehensive Vocabulary Test every Friday. First test is Friday, October 30: Will Include words from Oct. 27-30 plus yearbook terms that were distributed first nine weeks. PROJECTS: You must have 10 individual projects completed by the end of the semester on December 16, 2009. Two projects are due by November 6. Two projects are due by November 13. Two projects are due by November 20 Two projects are due by December 4. Two projects are due by December 16. You may choose from the following available projects. 1. Any live work project that comes in the shop. (Example: softball banquet program, monthly calendar, etc.). You must complete the job ticket, proof notice, layout and print and deliver the project. 2. Any completed double-page spread for the yearbook. 3. Create a Christmas Card from the Kendrick High School SkillsUSA that will be sent to military personnel serving overseas. The card should be 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 (folded size)---overall size 5 1/2 X 8 1/2. You will produce the digital file and print your project on the risograph. The project must include two SPOT colors. You will fold the cards and place in envelopes. 4. Create promotional material to advertise the Graphic Communications program and ACAD during International Printing Week (January 17-23, 2010). You will produce the digital file and print your project on the Risograph. Your project must be in two spot colors. Only 3 students can do each project…..first come, first serve! A. 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 Notepad B. 8 1/2 X 2 Bookmark C. Tent Card that can be placed on the cafeteria tables (11 X 17 before it is folded) D. 2 1/4” Button E. 11 X 17 Poster F. A Banner 36” X 72” 5. 4. Create promotional material to advertise the Career, Technical and Agricultural Education department during (CTAE) Month (February, 2010). You will produce the digital file and print your project on the Risograph. Your project must be in two spot colors. Only 3 students can do each project…..first come, first serve! SkillsUSA Safety Project Team: A team of 5 students that complete an activity to be used in the Occupational Safety and Health contest for SkillsUSA. First come---first serve. If you do not strive to have excellent projects and you hurry through your projects----you will be assigned additional projects on an individual basis. Plan accordingly. No excuses will be accepted that there were no computers available, presses were available, or any technical problems. YOU MUST PLAN FOR PROBLEMS!!!!!
