These links will help you create PowerPoint presentations. There are quizzes you can take, tutorials to follow, and examples of presentations.
For the first few days, we will not be searching the net for images. The use of the internet will be for the links below only.
FIRST ASSIGNMENT
Your assignment is to create a PowerPoint presentation of at least 6 slides. Topics may include:
*an introduction to you (Example: family, pets, hobbies, goals for the future, places you've lived, great vacations, favorites-- music, TV, movie, book, etc.)
*something related to one of your other classes
*a story of something you did over vacation
*other ideas approved beforehand by Mrs. Highley
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
-No more than two pictures downloaded from the Internet may be used. We will not be doing this until later in the week. There is no limit on clip art.
-This presentation has to tell us something about YOU or the criteria above.
-You need to complete the planning sheet as part of the grade.
For students who are already experienced PowerPoint users: why not learn something new to add to your presentation? You could make an interactive PowerPoint, add more animations or graphic effects.
For graphics, remember that you can also use the electronic databases to look for images. You can access these automatically at school, and with a library card at home. Also, it is not uncommon for sites that previously were free to now charge for access to some of their graphics.
