How to become a better searcher!
There are billions of pages on the internet; finding the best ONE to help you is not always easy! We will be learning some tips to sort the good from the bad.
Today (February 5), you need to complete the "Seven Steps toward Better Searching" on the handout you have been given. Later on we will do some of the scavenger hunts below; don't worry about them We will be in the computer lab again next week.
One of the best recommendations is to primarily use one or two search engines; as you use them repeatedly, you will learn some better techniques, and will use them more efficiently. For many reasons (speed being one), Mrs. Highley's favorite search engine is www.google.com (even though they have misspelled 'googol')
