Welcome to Grade Seven Social Studies!
Students are currently working on a unit on immigration. Students are researching the movement of various groups into Maine, including Swedish, Chinese, French, and Irish groups. The Maine Memory Network, which provides access to primary source materials online, provides students with a powerful resource for this unit. Students have time to work on each piece of this unit in class and will finish work that they do not complete in class as homework.
Students are always encouraged to use the Sheppard Software link below to practice their geography skills.
On Friday, students must submit the following assignments: "Eyewitness to History: Germany" and "Eyewitness to Crisis: Darfur". Students also need to make sure that they have completed, "Eyewitness to Immigration: William W. Thomas" and "Eyewitness to Immigration: Ireland".
