Curriculum Connections & the Internet (10 Easy Steps)

Tuesday, October 9th and Wednesday, October 10th

Be sure to sign in, mark the type of credit you want and enjoy the refreshments.

During this 2 day workshop, I hope that you will learn some ways to enhance your curriculum. Some of the ideas that I will show you may be similar to what you do already. Using a new or different approach can make learning more exciting! Most kids like computers and including the Internet in your class may make learning more "student friendly". During the first day, we will explore some techniques that you can use to connect your curriculum to the Internet. Your job as the educator, is to determine what will work best for you and your students. On the second day, the goal will be to create a learning opportunity that you can use in your classroom.

1. Brainstorming Activity (How do you help students learn?)
2. Pretest
3. Look at Assignment Pages (Quia.com & Highwired.com)
4. Poster on the Web
5. Web Worksheet
6. Filamentality
7. Backflip (visit museums, ask experts, take virtual field trips, find primary sources, watch video demonstrations)
8. Create your learning opportunity
9. Complete evaluation
10.Continue to use these ideas in your classroom throughout the year
(set up an appointment to learn more ways to infuse techology)
