We're on the home stretch now!  Only a few weeks of school left.  And remember, these are weeks filled with activities so everyone should be doing homework at night in order to stay on track.

The grade 7s are gone from Monday to Wednesday on their Kananaskis retreat.  Have a great, safe time!  See you Thursday when you return.

ALL UNITS SHOULD BE FINISHED BY JUNE 12TH, WITH JUNE 15TH AS THE ABSOLUTE DEADLINE FOR HANDING THINGS IN.  Don't worry, Tina and I will have activities for you to work on for the remainder of the school year.  During that time we will be working a lot on writing speeches and how to be an effective public speaker.

WEEK OF June 4th - 8th:

GRADE SIX

Science: (Evidence & Investigation)

- I believe most of you have finished Evidence & Investigation.  You should now start reviewing all of your units so you are prepared to write the science provincial exam.
- YOUR SCIENCE REVIEW UNIT WENT OUT AWHILE AGO.  PLEASE DON'T LOSE IT AS IT OUTLINES ALL OF THE IMPORTANT CONCEPTS YOU NEED TO STUDY FOR THE PROVINCIAL EXAM.  You must study your units, not just the sheet I gave you.  It is simply an outline.

Social Studies: (China)

- This unit should be finished.  I don't think any of you have finished it at this point so it should now become a focus for choice work.
- YOUR REVIEW UNIT WILL GO OUT ON MONDAY (TODAY).  AS WITH SCIENCE, IT IS AN OUTLINE OF IMPORTANT CONCEPTS.  YOU MUST STUDY YOUR UNIT NOTES.

Language Arts: (Reading Comprehension/"Book Breeding")

- You should be finished Reading Comprehension.
- "Book Breeding" is your final LA unit and should be started as soon as possible.
- THERE WILL NOT BE A LANGUAGE ARTS REVIEW/STUDY GUIDE GIVEN OUT.  YOUR PROVINCIAL EXAM WILL BE A SERIES OF READINGS AND QUESTIONS THAT YOU MUST ANSWER.  THE READING COMPREHENSION UNIT WILL HELP YOU PREPARE FOR THAT EXAM.

Math:

- You should be finished all of your lessons.  I will be giving you a review package to work on this week.

Please continue to do your corrections for lessons that have already been handed in.

WE WILL BE DOING IN-CLASS REVIEWS OF EACH SUBJECT WHILE THE GRADE 7S ARE AWAY. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAVE YOUR PAST UNITS AT SCHOOL AND YOU ARE LOOKING OVER YOUR NOTES JUST TO REFRESH YOUR MEMORY.  YOU WILL BE TESTED ON MATERIAL FROM THE ENTIRE YEAR.

GRADE SEVEN

Science: (Micro-organisms and Food Supplies/Evidence of Erosion)
- You should be finished Micro-organisms and Food Supplies.
- Evidence of Erosion should be finished by June 15th.
