DEEP RUN HIGH SCHOOL WILDCAT WRESTLING
Our Deep Run Wrestling family has had an exciting and successful off season as many wrestler's have participated in summer camps, Impact Club, Wildcat fall club, All American Wrestling Club, 3 Style Club, Summer/Fall tournaments, fall club weightlifting, and various technique clinics.
We have had our parent meeting which brought out many new families. The coaching staff truly is thankful to have such supportive families and fans that help to make our program special.
In addition to practices several athletes are running and conditioning on M,W,F prior to school at 7:40 AM. See Michael Goodman or Steve Houtz for details.
Wrestling Family and area fans our first tournament is set for the Wed prior to Thanksgiving. We are hosting a quad with James River, New Kent and Midlothian. each team will be represented with both an A team and B team.

Thanksgiving morning is our annual Turkey Trot 5 mile run. Last year we had over 100 participants come out. We ask that you generate sponsors of 10 dollars or more - each particpant will recieve their very own turkey trot shirt.
Friday and Saturday following the Trot our Varsity team will wrestle at Hopewell so come out and support your wildcats!

We will weigh-in in the morning and wrestle at night
*Senior night will be on January 31. Parents of seniors should attend. We will travel to Thomas Dale in late January for a scrimmage. We will host the District Tournament on February 7. Regionals will be held at James River High School on February 13 & 14. States will be held at Oscor Smith High School on February 20 -21. The weigh-in and start times for the post season will be announced closer to the end of the season.
