The sixth graders are at a critical time in their lives as they enter middle school.  Sixth graders often are faced with a lot of questions.  These questions can relate to what it means to be a Catholic and how one determines right from wrong. This year we will call upon our faith to guide us through this special  time in our lives.

A Little About Me
My name is Deni Ewell, and this is my fourth year teaching at OLPH.  I started my teaching career in the Cave Creek School District, where I taught fifth grade for six years and two years in the gifted program.  I graduated from the University of Arizona, in the spring of 1997, with a degree in Fine Arts.  I continued my education at the University of Phoenix by obtaining my teaching certificate, as well as, my masters in curriculum and instruction.  I also hold my gifted and SEI endorsements.  I just celebrated my tenth wedding anniversary to a wonderful man named James.  We have a beautiful and vivacious five year old named Indiana who started kindergarten at OLPH this year.   We also have two beagles that we love dearly.  In my spare time, I enjoy triathlon training, reading, yoga, cooking, and playing with my daughter.  My future goals include becoming an established author, raising my family, running many more marathons, and someday completing an Ironman!
