MAKE UP TESTS: I am in my room most mornings by 7:45 AM. With a 24 hour notice I will give a make-up test or, administer a "re-do" for a student that scores BELOW a 75 on a test.

Afternoon make-up tests or a "re-do" are ONLY available on Thursdays. I need a 48 hour notice because another teacher does the after school testing for me (Ms. Smith).

**EXTRA CREDIT**

Two types: First, every 9 week grading period I will give at least one or more opportunities for general extra credit. The points will be added to their lowest test grade as tests count double and this is the best place to add them.

Second, I will give another type of extra credit for those students who desire a little more intellectual challenge, love history, or simply need even more points. This second type will require some research on-line or in books and will involve answering discussion/essay questions that pertain to the Chapter we are studying.

PARENT PORTAL GRADES: If your child is missing a grade on something due to NOT turning it in on time, I will go ahead and assign a 0 for the assignment. As soon as they turn it in, I will put the new grade in (less any late penalties).

However, if your child is absent the day the assignment is due, I will leave the grade blank for the number of days they have to complete the late work in accordance with County policy. Once that day has expired, I will then enter a 0 for the assignment and then change the grade after the work is submitted. I ALWAYS ACCEPT LATE WORK! I tell the class that any grade is better than a zero.
