Where has this school year gone?! Spring has sprung, and our classroom is like a nursery for growth and new life. We are growing flowers and beans from seed, we have caterpillars we will watch grow into butterflies, and we have eggs incubating. Our chicks should hatch around May 5-6, so if you're interested, please drop on by and check them out. We will also be planting our butterfly garden on Apr. 29th, where we will release our Painted Lady butterflies when they emerge. We are studying geometry in Math, and will then move on to three digit addition and subtraction, and probability. We just had our field trip to the Children's Museum of Virginia, which was a blast, and will be going to Jamestown on Apr. 30th. Our next unit in History will be the study of Ancient Egypt, which is really fun and fascinating! Field day will be May 23rd, and parents, if you can, please plan to come by and help out. We couldn't do it without you! I hope you're enjoying these warmer, longer days as much as we are. :) Mrs. Hanline
