Happy Mother's Day to all our Moms!!! We've been blessed with wonderful moms in our class this year who have helped us have great activities all year long. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! How quickly this year is speeding by. We've learned and grown so much, and we're almost ready for third grade! This last quarter we are doing many exciting things. In reading we're focusing on using our imaginations to help us do things, and we have terrific imaginations! In math we're finishing up measurement, then we go on to geometry, and last, but not least, we will be introduced to multiplication. For science we're growing plants, incubating eggs, and studying the life cycle of butterflies while observing our caterpillars go through metamorphosis. After this science unit on life cycles, we will end the year studying the exciting mysteries of Ancient Egypt! I've so enjoyed teaching your children this year, seeing their faces as they learn and gain understanding of so many things. They are hard working students, and their teacher's expectations have been high, but we've had an incredible amount of fun along the way.
