It’s a SNAP: Healthy Schools, Healthy People
Good community service project for HST kids. They can get the entire school community involved in hand hygiene.
Multiple subject areas and activities are included.
Glo-Germ
My high school students used products from this site for their "Germ Buster" community service project.
Site has lesson plans and activities high school students can use when teaching young children about hand washing.
The Scrub Club
Another great community service activity for HST high school students, which will raise awareness about proper handwashing.
Very cute site, you guys-- includes songs, “Scrub Club” cards, and interactive games.
Save the Antibiotic
Includes an “Antibiotic Resistance” activity that can be used by high school students as a community service projects for 3rd – 5th graders.
Also has educational materials developed for 6th and 8th graders that teaches them the difference between treatments for bacterial and viral infections.
Online Service Project: Free Rice
This is a non-profit website run by the United Nations World Food Program.
FreeRice has two goals: 1. Provide education to everyone for free; 2. Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.
My students loved this activity.
