    Every attempt is made to maintain this website up to date. However, all dates are subject to change because students may master material faster or slower than is anticipated or special events may occur which remove children from class. Therefore, please check this website but understand that students may be given different information. I will see 6th grade Tuesdays through Fridays.

    Notebook due dates for 6th grade: 12/4/09, 2/5/10, 4/27/10
    Monday, Nov. 23: No class on Monday.
    Tuesday, Nov. 24: Go over notebook. Lab to take notes on fossils.
    Monday, Nov. 30: No class on Monday.
    Tuesday, Dec. 1: Complete fossil notes and look at real fossils. Provide students with the grading sheet for the notebook due on Friday.
    Wednesday, Dec.2: Check paper logics and stamp for the notebook. Check vocablary for section 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5. Assign vocabulary quiz for December 9th.
    Thursday, Dec 3: Work on section 1.4 and 1.5 questions in class.
    Friday, Dec. 4: Check 1.4. Collect notebooks. Check section 1.4.
    Monday, Dec. 7: No class on Monday.
    Tuesday, Dec. 8: Go over stratigraphy and the Law of Superposition and Law of Cross Cutting Relationships. Assign two pages on stratigraphy. Class time given to complete. Time given to study for quiz.
    Wednesday, Dec. 9: QUIZ - vocabulary for section 1.3 to 1.5. Go over plate tectnics and assign section 1.5 for homework for Tuesday, Dec 15th. Lab time to study fossils for Test on Thursday over fossils.
    Thursday, Dec. 10: TEST - 10 fossils must be identified and correctly spelled. Check stratigraphy classwork. Review evidence for plate tectonics.
    Friday, Dec. 11: No class. Half day. Return vocabulary quizzes.
    Monday, Dec. 14: No class on Monday.
    Tuesday, Dec. 15: Check section 1.5 and assign the chapter review for Wednesday. Questions (pages 39 - 41)Write out the question and underline the answer for 1-10. For 6-10 write 5 true sentences. DO NOT write true or false. If the sentence is true, copy it. If false, correct it by changing the underlined word or words as you write a complete sentence. The following short answer questions are to be done. Either copy the question or restate the ENTIRE question as part of your answer. If the question calls for more than one answer, the number of answers the question calls for is in parentheses after the number. 11, 12 (2), 13 (2), 14, 18, 23 (2), 24, 25. Test prep 1-5.
    Wednesday, Dec. 16: Go over the chapter review and give notes for the test.
    Thursday, Dec. 17: Chapter 1 TEST.
