Cómo están? Esta semana empezamos con el capítulo 4. Vamos a aprender muchos verbos y vamos a hablar de los días feriados. Muy pronto viene un día feriado--El Domingo de Pascuas. Nosotros celebramos este día en abril y a veces en marzo. ¿Cuándo es el Día de Acción de Gracias? Es el día especial para el mes de noviembre, ¿no? Entonces, viene la Navidad y el Jánuca.
¿Qué día celebran los latinoamericanos el 6 de enero? Sí--el Día de los Reyes Magos. Los niños ponen los zapatos debajo de la cama y los reyes vienen a la casa y ponen juguetes y dulces en los zapatos. ¿Santa Claus pone juguetes y dulces en los zapatos? No, en nuestros calcetines. Santa lleva un traje rojo y botas negras, ¿no? Y los reyes llevan una corona en la cabeza. ¿Entonces, qué ropa lleva el conejo de Pascua? Quizás unos pantalones cortos y una camiseta....y quizás unas gafas de sol muy de moda también....¿Qué piensan ustedes?

How are all of you? We're beginning with Chapter 4 this week. We're going to learn a lot of verbs and we're also going to talk about holidays. One holiday is coming very soon--Easter Sunday. We celebrate this day in April and sometimes in March. When is Thanksgiving? It's the special day for the month of November, right? Then, Christmas and Hannukah come.
What day do the Latin Americans celebrate the sixth of January? Yes--the Day of the Kings. The children put their shoes under the bed and the kings come to the house and put toys and sweets in the shoes. Does Santa put toys and sweets in shoes? No, in our socks! Santa wears a red suit and black boots, right? And the kings wear a crown on their head. So what clothing does the Easter bunny wear? Maybe some shorts and a T-shirt....and maybe some cool "shades", too....What do you all think?
