SRO audition: Pre-registration forms due by Friday, September 16
SRO auditions: Saturday, September 24, 2011 -CHARLOTTESVILLE HS -- 8:00 to 12:00 PM
SRO event: November 11&12, 2011 at Clover Hill HS
$5 fee (checks or cash) for SRO auditions due by Monday, September 12. Checks made out to Deep Run High School.
ROTATION: # 3
SCALES:
• Range: 3 octaves for violin, viola, cello
(Violin: G, A, Bb, B and C Major; G, A, B, and C melodic minor)
(Viola and cello: C, D, Eb, E, and F Major; C, D, E, and F melodic minor)
2 full octave scales for bass (E, F, G, A Major and melodic minor)
• The quarter note to be played at MM=120.
• All scales will be performed in the following bowing pattern:
2 notes slurred, 2 notes martele on the ascending scale;
4 notes slurred on the descending scale.

All County Orchestra Event -- Wednesday, October 26th, at Tucker HS
Fall Concert --Wednesday, October 19th, 7 PM - Dress rehearsal - 5:30 PM
Senior Regional Orchestra- November 11th & 12th at Clover Hill High School
Winter Concert --Wednesday, December 13th, 7 PM – Dress rehearsal- 5:30 PM
2012
CRO Auditions – Saturday, January 7th – at Meadowbrook HS (9th Graders)
CRO Event – Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th, February - at Collegiate HS
All-VA Band & Orchestra auditions at JMU- Saturday, February 25th
Pre-District Festival Concert-- Wednesday, March 7th, 7 PM – D. R. 5:30 PM
District Orch. Festival – Friday 9th & Saturday 10th, March– Hanover/ Atlee HS
Spring Trip -- March 29th - March 31st - Location TBA
All- VA Band & Orchestra Event- April 12th (Thursday) &13th (Friday)
Spring Concert -- Wednesday, May 17th at 7 PM - D.R. 5:30 PM
Concert attire for all concerts
Gentleman: Black tuxedo, white tuxedo shirt, black bow tie and cummerbund, black concert shoes and black socks.
Ladies: Long black orchestra concert dress, black concert shoes, black socks /stockings.
