INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER SCIENCE!

Hang on to your hats! In this unit we will begin a serious study of computer science basics.

This may get "tough!" Prepare yourself mentally!

Right click once here: INTEL: THE JOURNEY INSIDE!

Then click on "Lesson 1: Intro to Computer Science." Follow the instructions on page navigation and activities.

When you finish Lesson 1, right click here for the Lesson 1 Quiz: INTEL: Intro to Computer Science Quiz!

Now you will see the "student name" boxes. In the first name box, type your first name. Type your period number and then your last name into the last name box and click the "start now" button.

After you complete the quiz, navigate back to the Intel Main Menu page and start lesson 2.

GO THROUGH EACH LESSON: Read the text, watch the videos, do the activities. THEN, and ONLY THEN, do you go to the corresponding quiz below.

DO NOT TRY TO DO THE QUIZ AT THE SAME TIME YOU'RE GOING THROUGH THE LESSON! We've tried it that way...it takes LONGER to complete the assignment and the scores are usually lower.

There are 6 lessons. We will do one lesson and its quiz each day.

When you have completed the lesson and score a 70% or higher on the quiz, go to your Type to Learn 3. If you score less than 70%, log-on to the quiz and do it again. Keep trying until you score 70% or above.

(Hint: it is MUCH easier if you will check and double check your answers and get them correct the first time!!)

Some lessons are very long (up to 10 "pages"), some are very short. All of them have some very cool activities built into the lessons.
