This web site is designed to be a supplemental support tool for Southwestern Christian Junior High School students, not a replacement for being in class. The information, practice quizzes, and review activities accessible through this site will help students in several ways:
1. A chapter study guide will be provided to students at the beginning of each new chapter. If a student loses his/her study guide, it is strongly recommended that they print out another copy using the links below. Chapter study guides (PDF format) will be found in the "Study Guides" section on this webpage. Click on the link to open the file, which can then be printed from home.
2. Homework Quizzes allow students to pace their studying in manageable portions as opposed to waiting until the last minute to study the entire study guide. Mrs. Watowich will advise students to study specific sections that correlate with each Homework Quiz.
3. Review for chapter exams by playing Earth Science Jeopardy (see the "Study Tools" section below where they are listed as "Challenge Board" games). These activities are valuable study tools that will be posted prior to the chapter exam they are related to. You are required to sign in to play the Jeopardy game the same way you sign in to take a chapter exam. Your "user name" is your formal first name, followed by your last name (no space between first and last names), followed by the number 269. Your password is your SWCS Student ID Number assigned to you by Mrs. Watowich. It's important to remember that if you don't sign in to play the game, then you can not prove that you used this very valuable study tool!!
