This web site is designed to be a supplemental support tool for Southwestern Junior High School students , not a replacement for being in class. The information , practice quizzes , and study / review activities accessible through this site are ideal for the following purposes :
1. Study schedule planning by reviewing the calendar events section below . The upcoming events for the week are listed . For longer term planning , and to view events on a monthly basis , click on the " view calendar " icon in the web site title bar at the upper left corner of this web site .
2. It is strongly recommended that students print out chapter study guides from this web site for use in class . Chapter study guides ( in PDF format ) will be found in the " Study Guides " section below . Click on the link to open the file which can be printed .
3. Reviewing for chapter exams by playing World History Jeopardy ( see the " Quia Activities And Quizzes " section below where they are listed as " Challenge Board " games ) . These activities are valuable study tools that will be posted at least 48 hours prior to the chapter exam they are related to . You are required to sign in to play the jeopardy game the same way you sign in to take a chapter exam. Your " user name " is ( without a space between them ) , your proper / formal first name , followed by your last name , followed by the number 871 . Your password is your SWC student ID number assigned to you by Mrs. Turner . One very important thing to remember is that if you do not sign in to play the game , then you can not prove that you used this very valuable study tool !!
