Water. We need it to live. Yet only a small percent of the Earth's water is useable for drinking or watering crops. Most of Earth's water - more than 97 percent - is salt water that is found in the oceans. Only 3 percent is fresh water! Three quarters of this water is locked up in the huge masses of ice near the North and South Poles. We have learned many things in class about fresh water. We have learned ways to conserve this precious resource. We have learned ways to clean waste water. We have learned about sources of water for use and how it gets to your household. In todays activity, take the water quiz AND conplete two of the activities with a friend. Complete the quiz on your own on a sheet of paper. On the back side of your quiz, write a paragraph describing the two activities that you and a partner completed. When you finish your tasks you may ask me for permission to take a trip outside the room for a sip or two of sparkling, crystal clear water!
