Course Description
This is a course that each student has the opportunity to experience several types of art materials to express themselves visually.

Class Expectations
Each student is expected to try to do each project. They are not graded on their ability but they are graded on their effort. 6th and 7th grade receives a P or and F as their grade. 8th grade receives a letter grade. 8th grade is graded on effort. If they stay on task everyday they will get an A. Their grade reflects their effort not ability.

Objectives

6th grade has art for six weeks. They will do five projects. They will work with clay, paint, charcoal, and possibly pen and ink.

7th grade has art for nine weeks. They work with paint, charcoal, papier mache, 3-d drawings, perspective, and tessellations.

8th grade has art for twelve weeks. They draw portraits, carve blocks, and print with them, they make clay hands, and whistles. We weave, and make human figure sculptures. They learn how to make books, and paint with watercolors.
