I am so very pleased to have your child in my classroom! This is going to be an exciting school year!!
Announcements
If tests or quizzes are scheduled and we miss because of snow, students need to be prepared to take them once they return to school.
Students will be bringing home Assignment Notebooks and Homework Folders on a nightly basis with any homework. Tests and quizzes will be found under the "Tests and Quizzes" section of the Assignment Notebook.
Virginia Studies
We are beginning the Civil War and how life in Virginia and in the south changed! Students can also go to www.solpass.org and www.studyisland.com to help review!
Science
Students are learning about water and the water cycle. We will soon be learning about weather and clouds.
Spelling
Spelling words are given each week. Spelling tests will be given on Fridays. Pre-Tests will be given on Wednesday. If your child makes a 100 on Wednesday, they will not have to take it on Friday. Spelling points will be assigned each week. Students must have at least 80 points by Friday when they will be turned in. We are now starting to review SOL Words that students should be familiar with.
