Dr. Martha B. Ralls

Hi, Educ 331 students!

You are about to embark on a semester of problem-based learning during which you will encounter and solve authentic problems that teachers deal with in actual classrooms:

     (1) "Setting the Year's Goals"
     (2) "Creating a Course Blueprint"
     (3) "Beyond Discipline"
     (4) "Repertoire of Teaching Approaches"
     (5) "PBL Lesson Proposal" (Hoover High School)

      Mini-problems: "Selecting PBL Problems"
                     "Alternative Assessments"

     (6) "Active learner Involvement"
     (7) "Using Student Inquisitiveness, Ideas, Experiences"
     (8) "Aadaptive Strategies"

It's going to be a great semester and I look forward as your course professor to working with you as you solve these problems and gain knowledge that will equip you to become a professional teacher.
