AUGUST 21 - 24
1.Our school's theme;"From the ashes to awesome. We shall rise...!"is very appropriate and spirited. We have begun this SCHOOL year with many missing resources, but we will rise to even better than before.
2.I encourage you(All) to join ME and make this a REMARKABLE YEAR!
3.WE WILL BE USING MANY HANDOUTS UNTIL WE CAN DISTRIBUTE THE TEXT-WORKBOOK(MOSTLY FOR HOMEWORK).
4.PARENTS/GUARDIAN:Please read and sign the Handout with Class expectations(rules). Return this week. THANKS!
5.Students will be working on ORAL PARTICIPATION during the first two weeks. Everything is strickly TOTAL PHYSICAL RESPONSE(TPR). Please feel free to send me any reply to this website.
AUGUST 27th - 31st
1. This week we will be taping our first dialog (Role-playing activity) in which students greet one another, ask how he/she is doing, and give a farewell.
2. We will continue to practice TPR with other commands for classroom use,and begin learning our first VOCABULARY FOLLOWED BY a handout with illustrations.
3. Students need to practice the numbers 1 -20 (Spanish) for future use with the seasons and the calendar.
4. August 29/30 is the DUE DATE for our first HOMEWORK. It is the SPANISH ALPHABET,PRACTICE WITH THE NUMBERS AND A NEW DIALOG FORM INTRODUCING SOMEONE.
REMINDER/NOTA: Each student MUST HAVE RECEIVED (BY NOW) a Handout with the NOTEBOOK GUIDELINE. NotebookS will be checked after SEPTEMBER 15th.
SEPTEMBER 4 - 7
5.HOMEWORK include the follwoing:
a. Más práctica (WORKBOOK)pages 1-2 for ACTIVIDADES 1,2 and 4 only. All ESCUCHA activities are to be with the CD program and completed IN CLASS!
b. WORKBOOK pages 3-4 and Activ. 7,9,10,and 11.
6. ALL/Every student HAVE RECEIVED his/her Tedxtbook -En español and the WORKBOOK (Más Práctica)
7.MATERIALS FOR EVERY DAY:
1)Notebook (for Spanish only)
2)Workbook (Más Práctica) in the ntebook
3)A pen and pencil
4)Textbook (En español)
REMINDER: You can succedd!!(handout) needs to be returned signed. Continue studying the numbers 0 - 20 in textbook.
Study and LEARN the Span. alphabet (dictation soon).
SEPTEMBER 10 -14
1. THIS WEEK we will be working on VOCAB.1 on Page 21 in TEXTBOOK. Students Must be ready for a DICTATION on numbers 0 - 30 and the Spanish alphabet.
2. HOMEWORK FOR THIS WEEK ARE:a)Workbook pages 7/8 and
b) Handouts(2)of Mexico and
Central-American countries
flags/Wordsearch.
3. DIALOG #2 is on Monday/Tuesday accordingly. Students will present his/hers based on Greetings/Asking how the person is/Introdicing self/and Farewell.
4. PARENTS/GUARDIAN: Student MUST have the TEXBOOK with him/her to do HOMEWORK as reference. I am having some difficulties already with students coming to class without the MATERIAL LISTED ABOVE.
REMINDER
I WILL BE GRADING NOTEBOOK NEXT WEEK MONDAY/TUESDAY. STUDENTS RECEIVED A GUIDELINE ON THE FIRST DAY. PLEASE FOLLOW THIS GUIDELINE AS TO DIVISIONS/LABELS/SIZE(1 1/2 INCH OR BIGGER) AND POCKETS TO SAVE IMPOTANT PAPERS.
