Locating a specific Web site on the Internet. 2. Scrolling up and down on a Web page. 3. Scanning through information on the Internet to find interesting facts. 4. Writing Internet facts in your own words. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Students will launch the Internet and go to Sea World at: http://www.seaworld.org 2. Once Sea World is launched, students will click on "Animal Resources" on the left-hand side. 3. Next, students will click on "Animal Bytes" and a long list of animals will appear. 4. Students will scroll through the list and choose five different animals. Once students have clicked on an animal, they should scroll down to "fun facts". Students should read through these "fun facts" and rewrite in their own words. Stress how important it is to not copy directly from any source but to put facts into their own words. 5. After writing facts, students will capture the web address and an image from this site to add to their facts. THE ABC’S OF EVALUATING WEB SITES You must choose 6 sites to evaluated. Three educational and three fun (game)sites. Use the questionnaire below to evaluate each. Open a word processing document and be sure to include a heading and title "Game Evaluation".
