Element Poster Project

8^th Grade Science

 

Objective:

Increase your knowledge of an element by creating a poster for that element.

 

Grades:

Creativity/Neatness: 20 Learning Points

Accuracy/Completeness: 50 Learning Points

Turned in on time: 10 Management Points

 

Poster:

·    Cut out in the shape of the atomic symbol

·    Color will closely resemble the color of the element
(if possible).

·    Size of the poster will be at least 45cm x 30 cm.

The poster will contain the following information:

·   Name of element.

·   Atomic Number

·   Atomic Mass

·   Melting Point

·   Boiling Point

·   Date of Discovery

·   Person (or People) who are credited with the discovery of this element.

·   Flag for Country of Discovery

·   Electron Configuration/Atomic Structure

·   Name Origin/Symbol Origin

·   Uses

·   Other interesting information

·   Bibliography
