WELCOME TO LAB #5!
When you came to live in Canada did you think that some of the laws here were strange? Countries make laws for certain reasons, but sometimes, as time passes, the laws are no longer valid. However, these out-dated laws are still "laws"! Today we're going to look at some strange, out-dated laws from different countries.
1- Go to the website listed under "Useful Links", here you will find a website that has many strange and out-dated laws. Scroll to the very end of the list of Laws... Look at the last 10 laws.....at the VERY END of the site.
2- Now go to "A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS", under Quia Activities. Here you need to match the beginning of the laws with the correct endings. This is a tough one! Start with the law from China, and go through the whole list in order.
3- Check on your vocabulary progress.... Try the "Strange Laws Vocabulary Review" I think that you'll like it! But be careful, some of the words are very similar in meaning.
