Class, this week you will copy the lesson for the week, and the Research Project information from our Online Classroom at www. highwired.com. Follow the directions below for easy access to the classroom, project instructions, and lessons.
1. Scroll down this page until you get to "Useful Links". Click the hyperlink for Austin's Online Classroom at www.highwired.com.
2. Once you have entered the highwired site, at the top of the page, to the right,go to "Search by school name or city". Type in Jacksonville,and hit the enter key.
3. Scroll down the list of matching schools until you get to Mandarin High School. Click the hyperlink that bears the school's name.
4. Click the hyperlink "See Your Classroom Online".
5. Click the hyperlink "American and British Literature.
6. Be sure to read the important messages-things that you need to know-"On the Board",which is to the left of the page. Also, read the information on "Research Paper Writing". I suggest that you print this page.
7. Under "Class Projects",click the hyperlinks for the following:Research Paper Topics,Research Paper Requirements, and Research Paper Notes. Print this information so that you will have it for discussion on Monday,11/19.
8. Scroll down the page,and look on right-hand side of screen,until you come to "Upcoming Events". Click "View Schedule". You will come to the page labeled "Schedule".
9. Click the hyperlinks for each assignment listed,except for Thursday and Friday,which are designated holidays. Print out each assignment.
10. Click the back button on your internet browser to return to the classroom page. Scroll down the page, and look to the left. You will see a section labeled " The Pulse". Read the question, and cast your vote.
