This week in grammar we will be talking about subject/verb agreement.
In literature, we will begin reading The Odyssey!!!! This is our first big assignement.
Progress reports go home this week. Open House is Thursday, Jan. 31 from 4-6. I will have to leave around 5:30, though.
After February 25 I will no longer have this web page because it will no longer be a free service.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Welcome to English 9! There is an end-of-course test in this class, so everything we do will be to prepare us for that test. You will learn grammar and you will read all types of literature. You will learn to apply literary terms to the literature that you read.
We will also do Accelerated Reader. You will be taking the STAR test and setting a reading goal soon.
Grading information:
Daily grades: 45%
Tests: 45%
AR: 10%
This is the make-up of your nine weeks' grade. The state test is 25% of your TOTAL grade for the class.
