This is the Saturn 5 website!

You'll find links to great activities and websites. Some of the activities and websites are related to topics we will be covering as the year progresses; if a topic or activity is confusing it may be something we have not studied yet.

In the calendar of events be sure to notice Test and Quiz Dates. Every Friday there is a spelling test and usually a Selection Test that I use to assess the children's understanding of a story that we read together and discussed during the week (these events are not marked on the calendar since they are weekly occurrences). I recommend all students study for the spelling test at home, but the selection test is based upon work in school. Test dates can change based upon unforeseen changes in our schedule or school cancellations. They may move to one of two school days later on in the schedule but will never be before the due date on the calendar.

Thank you to all of the families who have sent in tissues, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes. We are making use of them to try to remain germ free and I greatly appreciate your help. Tissues are something that will need to be replenished more frequently as it gets colder. I keep any extra boxes in the room and we use them as we need them; trust me when I say we will go through all of them. More boxes are always welcome.

I hope that students and parents are using the Study Guides I send home to help students study for the math tests. Please check the calendar for upcoming math test dates!
