Study Guide for Citizenship

Someone that belongs to a special community or group of people is a citizen.

People show respect by using good manners.

Rules made by the government that must be obeyed are called laws.

A good citizen works to make the community a better place to live , work and play.

Trying your best and doing what you are supposed to do are ways to show you are taking responsibility.

When citizens need to make a decision or choice, they may vote to find the answer.

Part 2 Read the story and then answer the questions that follow.

When the girls get back to class from the office, Mrs. Esposito says, “Did you both remember our good citizenship rules on the way to the office?” Both girls answer, “Yes.”
